I mean, what timeline is this? Universe, take a bow. I’m in disbelief—like, weren’t we just talking about how my reels seemed funny only to me (and maybe my mom, out of pity)? Now, half a million people have watched my struggles with pregnancy shaving, and thousands of them actually engaged. Is this real life?
Apparently, the chaos of trying to shave with a growing bump is the universal language of motherhood. Let’s be honest: It’s a true struggle. I’m only 23 weeks in, but my belly already feels like a planet. Last pregnancy, I was so sure I’d give birth early (wishful thinking), so from 38 weeks onward, I shaved religiously to "stay prepared."
Spoiler: I didn’t deliver until 42 weeks, and those last two weeks in the hospital? No shaving. Mini-Yeti vibes at delivery, folks. And you know what? No one cared—least of all me. Priorities shift, and guess what? Being judged in labor isn’t exactly top-tier trauma.
And while my partner tried helping with shaving back then, it was... not great. Let’s just say I’ve learned to go solo, even if I’m flying blind. It’s a whole skill set at this point.
But back to these reels. Honestly, when you post something, you always hope it resonates with people, that it’ll make someone smile or feel seen. But to have this many people engage and laugh along? Mind-blowing.

This whole project has been such a wild ride already. My blog is being read. My Instagram is being engaged with. And while I don’t have a massive following yet, the people who are here feel real. That’s all I care about—building a community of people who laugh, relate, and connect.

TikTok is still in its baby steps, but if Instagram is proof of anything, it’s that consistency pays off. Eventually, I’ll branch into more educational content too—videos that dive deeper into topics I care about. But for now, I’m just proud of how far this little project has come in such a short time.
