Dear Wannabe Diary,
The day started strong—no morning sickness, semi-decent sleep, and a toddler who didn’t wake up demanding snacks at 3 AM. Honestly, miracles do happen. The weather, however? Pure depression in cloud form. Rain, wind, and the kind of gloom that makes you want to hibernate. So naturally, we stayed inside.
Despite the dreary vibes, I managed to make progress on this blog. TikTok is still my chaotic second child (always lagging behind), but I’m optimistic about catching up. Baby steps, right? On top of that, I squeezed in some quality time with Joe Dispenza's Breaking the Habit of Being Yourself. It’s one of those books you can’t just skim—you need to soak in every word, underline half of it, and reread pages because wow. I’m about two-thirds through, and soon I’ll reach the part where theory turns into practice: a four-week meditation program designed to reprogram your brain and ditch old, negative patterns.
My Journey into Self-Reprogramming
Let me tell you—this book is life-changing. The gist? Your thoughts create your reality, and by altering those thoughts, you can rewrite your future. Sounds simple, right? Except it’s not. It’s like rewiring an ancient system while the system fights back with everything it has. But I’ve already seen small shifts in my life, and it’s enough to keep me hooked. If these tiny positive changes are possible in just 14 days, what could happen in a year?
The Science of Kids and Brainwaves
Here’s where things really hit me: the way we shape our kids' minds in their early years. Joe explains brainwave frequencies and how kids essentially absorb everything from birth to around age 12, like emotional sponges.
- 0–2 years: Delta brainwaves (deep sleep mode). Babies are mostly subconscious, operating on instinct and vibes.
- 2–6 years: Theta brainwaves (dreamy state). This is where imagination runs wild, and kids believe everything you tell them—positive or negative.
- 5–8 years: Alpha brainwaves (mix of imagination and logic). Kids start reasoning but still live partly in their own creative worlds.
- 8–12 years: Beta brainwaves (logic takes the wheel). By now, the door between the conscious and subconscious starts to close.
Basically, everything we say or do becomes their inner narrative, shaping how they see themselves and the world. No pressure, right?
This realization hit me hard. The way I parent my toddler now could literally define her mental and emotional foundation. It's terrifying and empowering at the same time. The goal? Break old generational cycles and instill positivity, confidence, and love from the start.
Manifesting a Better Future (One Meditation at a Time)
As I dive deeper into Joe’s teachings, I’m starting to believe in the power of rewriting my story. I've already made it my mission to pass this knowledge on to my kids, but eventually, I’d love to share it with others—friends, family, even strangers who feel stuck. Who knows? Maybe one day, I’ll become a certified hypnotherapist. Not for the paycheck, but to help people (especially parents) release the baggage we carry and avoid passing it to the next generation. Imagine how different the world could be if every child grew up knowing how to be happy from within.
Final Thoughts
I’m not there yet, but I’m on my way. This diary, this journey—it’s all part of the process. And if I ever waver or forget why I started, let this entry be my reminder. For myself, for my kids, for the better future I’m manifesting.
Signing off,
